A Soldier’s Crest: Intro / Thanks

April 2nd, 2015 will forever be an important day in my life. While the “official” release date will read either March 15th or Match 30th, April 2nd is the day that I received word that my book, “A Soldier’s Crest” went up for sale on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

A few days prior to that, I received physical copies at my house. I think any author can tell you that there really aren’t many things that compare to opening a box full of your own books for the first time. It was a really happy and proud moment for me and my family and it brought everything into full focus.

I could go on and on for pages about how proud I am and how amazing this is for me, but I can save that for another day. For my first blog post(on my very own book/author website – how cool is that??) I want to focus more on giving thanks.

I want to thank all of those who have helped me along the way, even if it is the smallest bit of help or a quick “Good Luck!” – I truly appreciate everyone who has been supportive along the way. Everyone who contributed to the GoFundMe page I did a while back, everyone that helped me while I still worked at Anime Castle and everyone who has shown even the slightest interest in my accomplishment since the book released.

I do want to give a special thanks to my family who allowed me to explore different avenues throughout my life that ended up being the sole reason this book even happened. For every time I bugged my mom and dad to take me to the store to buy a video game, for every fantasy/sci-fi based movie my sister allowed me to tag along to with her friends and for sharing interests in the same shows, movies or stories as me – This book is the direct result of all of those things. Giving me access to those avenues of creativity, those moments that inspire and drive the mind to expand and explore their own made-up worlds.

I also want to personally thank all of my friends, especially those closest to me. Some of you helped me edit, some of you read it when it was still in it’s early stages or not even complete yet. Some of you played the crucial part of telling me when something wasn’t working or if a name seemed off or didn’t fit or if scenes were just flat out written poorly. You have all played a part and I hope you share in the pride of this release with me, because there are small pieces of all of you in every word and every paragraph. I will never forget your contributions.

Lastly, I want to thank Dog Ear Publishing. While it is technically self-publishing with some assistance, the help I’ve gotten from everyone who works there has been a tremendous comfort. Each one of you have helped me in different areas, whether it was being my representative, helping me with the website or helping me with the teaser trailer, you have all made this process smooth and enjoyable. Thank you for all of your help!

Now, if I can take a moment for some self-promotion: The book is available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble – as well as some other websites(that can be found at the end of the teaser trailer found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2QUdABxUFr4) It is available in paperback / hardcover and Ebook(Kindle/Nook).

Book 2 is already being worked on and I have plans for multiple books and spin-off side stories based on the series. I plan to make every story I write from here on out based in the same universe as the books, even if they’re out in space or on another planet. Speaking of, please head on over and check out A Soldier’s Crest: A War on Ruria which is my entry into the “Another World” contest on inkitt. While you’re there, give it a like – it would really help me out! (That can be found here: http://www.inkitt.com/stories/12514)

In closing, I plan to blog, eventually vlog and promote the book as much as possible. Hopefully going to and participating in conventions as well. I will post updates here and on the official facebook page as things pop up.

If there are any questions, concerns or anyone wants to submit fan art(I would love this btw, just saying) please Email me at: SoldiersCrest@Yahoo.com

Thank you again for all of your support!
